Parent Letter June 2, 2010
Dear Parents,
I begin this letter with heartfelt congratulations to our Class of 2010 who will be graduating on Saturday at the 5 p.m. Mass, as well as to their families. We wish them every blessing and are confident of their future success. As when family members leave us, they are always missed and we hope that, as with many of our alumni, they will return “home” in the days and years to come to share some special moments with us.
As we approach the final days of school, it is my sad task to let you know that one of our teachers will be leaving. Mrs. Jarl and her husband will be leaving the area for reasons of Mr. Jarl’s new employment. We are grateful that they have been a part of our school family during this past year, and wish them much success and happiness in the years to come.
I extend a thank you to all who helped to make Games Day the wonderful day that it was. We extend special thanks to Mrs. Argarin for her work in preparing the day and to all of the staff members who worked to carry out the plans. We also wish to thank in a special way our 8th grades captains who led their teams to a very successful day, and our parents who provided nourishment and kept everyone well hydrated.
Our Art Show is amazing. What a gift to our school and to everyone who was able to view our exhibit last night. We are truly blessed as a school community. We thank Mrs. Butchka for the wonderful work she does and for the blessing and inspiration she is to our students.
I remind everyone that Friday is an early dismissal day with Awards Day beginning at 10 a.m. Next week we have regular dismissal time on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday and Thursday dismissal will be at 12:30. On June 11th we will celebrate 9 a.m. Mass prepared by the first grade, and children will be dismissed from their classrooms at 10:30 a.m. There is after school care on all days with the exception of Friday.
As this is my final letter for this school year, my wish for you as the summer begins is time to spend with your children in rest and relaxation. While I am well aware that this is often a difficult wish to fulfill in this day and age, my hope is that time may be found to enjoy these young people who so quickly become young adults. I wish you time to create memories that will last far into the future.
May God watch over all of you and keep everyone safe during these months of summer activity. Enjoy the beauty of God’s creation and his awesome gift of your precious children.
Sincerely,
Marianne Cote, Principal
